Montreal (QC) October 10th, 2014: On the eve of the International Day of the Girl, the Nobel Committee awarded the Nobel Peace Prize to its youngest recipient yet: Malala Yousafzai. Girls Action Foundation is delighted by the prestigious recognition of an international girls’ rights advocate.

On October 23rd, Cassandra J. Opikokew Wajuntah will be discussing via an online conference Indigenous health and education gaps in Canada, the role the policymaking system plays in perpetuating such gaps, as well as how we can utilize Indigenous knowledge to address these gaps and revise the policymaking system itself.
