For the 12th consecutive year on February 14th, girls and young women will steer away from the usual Valentine’s Day activities and instead create action-oriented projects to raise awareness about the issues affecting them and their communities!
Girls and young women across Canada face unique challenges in matters of health and health promotion. This project, built on evidence-based promising practices in girls’ health promotion, will engage partners in national, provincial, and local organizations to develop a health promotion program to support girls in healthy living and wellness.
An online toolkit that contains relevant and accessible web-based tools for young women to prevent and better respond to violence in intimate relationships. Each tool has been tested and approved by young women across Canada to ensure their applicability across varying contexts and social locations.
In the past few weeks, we provided a total of thirteen grants of $1000 to young women between the ages of 16-25 from across Canada to help them develop innovative actions and leadership initiatives in their communities. These grants help these young women further develop their leadership skills while making an impact in their community. Find out who they are!
