Light a Spark for Sistahood

Tuesday March 8th at Calabash Bistro (www.calabashbistro.com) we will say goodbye to Sistahood in style! With good people, amazing music and an excellent party!!

Although this event will mark the end of Sistahood it will also mark the launch of an inspiring campaign from the Girls Action Foundation called Light a Spark. This initiative aims to build a strong base of support for girls and young women across Canada. Kicking off on International Women’s Day, March 8th, the campaign will be driven by women leaders – or SPARKS - who are strong and powerful bright lights, and have made their mark in their respective fields.

Rachel Flood, the Sistahood founder, has been selected as a Spark for this campaign and we thought encouraging our supporters to light a spark for young women across Canada would be a fitting way to close 10 years of a festival that has light more than a couple sparks along the way.

Big Love from the Sistahood and Working Arts Crew!!
