Throughout the 20 years I've known Josiane, she's one of the few people I've met that can dance so expertly between family, creativity and the courage to dive spontaneously into new interests. Josiane has a courage to grow in very short periods of time and possesses a tenacity of divine proportion.

During moments of crisis, Josiane is who I would want nearby.

Josiane's second daughter was born several months too early. Her little angel had to fight for her life, and survived. Today she's a smiling bundle of cuteness and I want to cry every time I see her. I'm completely convinced this blessing is still with us because Josiane and her sweetheart Jeff stood next to her, tirelessly, for weeks and weeks encouraging and cheering her. Josiane could have had more rest and relief but she denied most of it so that she could be there, with razor sharp focus, for her daughter. I believe she transferred the stubborn tenacity that is essential to life to her daughter, helped her bring her gift of being to the world, which is an interplay I will always admire. If anybody remains unconvinced of the connectedness in life, the proof is RIGHT THERE.

Josiane will flatter you and tell you how deep and diverse you are, being self deprecating for her own breadth of power. Josiane, you are a power that instantly creates growth and depth no matter where you stand. 20 years ago you were one of my role-models during my insecurity years. I chose very well. Never doubt your positive influence. I will always look to you for a reminder of how to stand firm in the middle of life's hurricanes, and not to be afraid to jump into new things so that life is lived more fully.
