PREVNet is excited to launch an online survey for youth aged 12-18 years in partnership with MediaSmarts and TELUS to better understand how youth respond to mean comments, posts, and pictures online.

The Safety Information System (SIS) will be revolutionary way for people in the City of Toronto to get and share information about sexual violence including rape, sexual assault and sexual harassment. METRAC will be launching it in the fall and is searching for “early adopters” to help us test the system once it’s ready

Richmond - Performing Gender in Class: What Female Silence Tells Us About Education: What’s the connection between your gender and how well you do in school, at work, or at home? According to a substantial body of research, the way girls and boys are conditioned to speak may have a lot to do with it. (October 25)

Toronto - Join Shameless for the third annual Shamie Awards! The Shamies are awards presented to the worst perpetrators of problematic media - the most sexist, racist, oppressive advertisements. These awards help raise critical awareness of the messages that we find around us, and can inspire us all to renew our commitment to producing and supporting media that advocates, informs and inspires. Montreal - L'assemblée générale annuelle (AGA) de l'Institut du Nouveau Monde (INM) aura lieu le 3 octobre prochain dès 17 h à la Bibliothèque et Archives nationales du Québec située dans le Vieux-Montréal. L'AGA sera l'occasion de procéder à l'élection de sept des administrateurs de l'INM, soit la moitié des membres du conseil.
