POLICY FOR CHILDREN
Girls Action Foundation endeavours to offer events where all girls, young women, and women are welcome to participate and we make every effort to accommodate the realities of each participant. Where we can, we support the participation of those who would not be able to take part if their young child was unable to accompany them.
If you would like to participate in one of our events and you have a young child that you need to bring with you, please make a note of this on the application form and we will be in touch to discuss arrangements.

Girls Action Foundation Team
Participation and Transportation
This policy is for children 2 years of age and under. Girls Action Foundation can support mothers travelling with children under 2 years of age.
If your child is over 2 years of age, and you must bring them with you, Girls Action Foundation will do their best to support you, depending on the situation and our financial resources.
Childcare Services
Girls Action Foundation will provide a secure space for children and caretakers to use. This space will be open between 9 am and 5 pm. During lunchtime, breaks, and in the evening, each parent is responsible for the care of her child.
Children are welcome in the workshops. When deciding whether your child will join you in the workshop, please consider factors such as noise and distraction, for you and for the other participants.
Responsibilities
Each parent is responsible for her child at all times.
Each parent remains the contact and point person for her child at all times (for example, in case of emergency).
Each parent must ensure that Girls Action Foundation has all pertinent and important health information concerning her child (for example, medical history, allergies, etc.).
Materials
Toys will be available for your child to use. Each parent must provide diapers and other materials specifically needed for her child.
Please let us know if you will need a high chair or a baby bed.
It is important that you bring all that you need for your child throughout your stay. Our events take place outside the city and so it is difficult to access a supermarket or a pharmacy.
Please ensure that you have the necessary quantities of: diapers, juice, milk, medicine, etc. A refrigerator will be available to hold all perishable items.
It is also important to note that we do not have access to a washing machine; please make sure that you have enough clothing for your child for the entire stay!
