What is it?
A collaborative effort to increase resources, knowledge and skill-building opportunities that support the leadership and civic participation of girls and young women from racialized communities.
Who is it for?
Self-organizing young women and community organizations and groups working with racialized girls and young women across Canada.
Stepping Up has already addressed community needs through training workshops, mentorship opportunities, leadership training, and networking initiatives. Network members who implement local programs for racialized girls and a diverse Advisory Committee have allowed the project to remain adaptable and pertinent.
We are reaching out to invite participation, to promote this project, and to share resources and best practices. Interested organizations, groups, and individuals can get involved in different ways:
