And they may be right...a very popular resource, with lots of great resource on literally organizing your community. Including the nuts & bolts on doing activities like door knocking for your communities issue, block parties, visioning, with interesting links to articles to building your knowledge on issues like "not in my backyardism", information sharing, child-minding co-ops etc.

An awesome compilation of links for community organizing. Well explained and easy to read and follow, with topics including protests and demonstrations, media activism, event planning, tabling, and anti-oppression.

A great all-in-one organizational development site. Resources include: outreach, strategic planning, facilitation, managing, advocacy, research, evaluation, and more.

Youth Council Development - A Toolkit for Action

"The intent of the toolkit is to support youth between the ages of 15 to 29 establish a voice in their community through the formation of a youth council. The toolkit can also be an effective guide for persons involved in the development of youth initiatives."
