NATIONAL CAREER DAY

GIRLS IMAGINING THEIR FUTURES!

For the last 9 years, Girls Action Foundation has been inspiring girls to start imagining their futures during interactive Career Days held in Montreal schools through our local Girls’ Clubs. More than 160 women in traditional, outside the box and in-demand careers have shared their stories, passion and expertise with some 1,400 elementary and high school girls.

Building on the success of our local Career Days, we organized the first-ever National Career Day in November 2013 as a new pilot project that took place across the country.  Since then, forty organizations hosted Career Day events in their communities across the country and more than 2,500 girls, young women, mentors, school partners and community members participated.

"This event gave our community an opportunity to bring the youth girls together and remind them that despite all our differences, we have a lot of the same interests, and can always be stronger working together than trying to put each other down in such a small community.
